Best Air Conditioned Bars In Philly

The hot weather pounding Philadelphia has been unpleasant for almost everyone. Sure, jumping in a fountain or playing in an illegally opened fire hydrant can cool you off during the day, but where should you go when you have that itch to drink at night? You don’t want to sweat your beverage out faster than you can drink it, so here is a list of 10 places that are sure to keep you cool while you drink your face off.

1. Cavanaugh's River Deck

We know, it’s open to the elements, but the breeze from the river is sure to keep the temperature low as you party all night.

2. Good Dog Bar
Three levels of cool air conditioning will keep you chill on the hot summer nights.

3. National Mechanics
This bar will keep you entertained while you relax and throw a few back.

4. Kildare's Manayunk
Great Irish atmosphere with the cool temperature included.

5. Franklin Mortgage
Nothing says cool like an ice cold cocktail served in an underground psuedo-speakeasy atmosphere.

6. Jon's Bar & Grille
A South Street institution; brave the humidity on one of their outdoor patios for great people watching or head inside for some cool crisp air to go with your refreshing beer

7. Dolce
This lounge at the corner of 3rd and Chestnut is our new neighbor and we're proud to say they are literally one of the coolest places to drink in Old City

8. Bar 210
We can't really think of a better place to cool off after a stroll through Rittenhouse Square

9. Sidecar Bar
Ok, we admit it, we would probably go to Sidecar even if it had a bonfire raging next to the bar and no A/C...but luckily, we don't have to because it's like a cucumber in there.  Cool that is.

10. New Deck Tavern
One of University City's finest Irish Bars has the air cranked just so you can imagine the brisk air coming across the emerald isle's shores.

If you're one who doesn’t mind to sweat then disregard this list, but these bars are guaranteed to help you beat the heat!
