Get SmorgasBeer'd at the American Swedish Historical Museum, July 27
Good meatballs deserve good beer, and that’s exactly the pairing you’ll find at the annual SmorgasBeer’d festival. It’s Sweden meets Philly at the American Swedish Historical Museum on Saturday, July 27, as local breweries pour beers to go with Swedish meatballs, cheese and sausages.
The museum looks out on FDR Park from Pattison Avenue in South Philly. Tickets to the event are just $25 in advance for three hours of tasting, sipping, talking with brewers and getting a tour of Swedish beer artifacts. From 5–8 PM, sample pours of Yards, Dock Street, Triumph, McKenzie Brew House, some Scandinavian beers and other breweries as you explore the cuisine of Sweden.
