Second Annual King of Prussia Beerfest Royale, October 3 and 5

After a fantastic debut in 2012, the King of Prussia Beerfest Royale is back for a second year, and over 2,500 are expected to attend the festival, which now has two days of events.

The main beer fest takes place on Saturday, October 5 over the course of two sessions. Pick your time (noon–3:30 P or 6–9:30 PM) and pick up a $45 ticket to gain access to beer samples from more than 50 craft and international breweries. Look for samples from local makers like Boxcar Brewing, Dock Street and Neshaminy Creek, and also those from farther afield (Euro breweries like Pilsner Urquell, Kronenbourg and Fuller’s, for example).

During the first session, a panel of judges (including Drink Philly) will be on site sampling food and beer to name winners in categories of Best International Beer, Best Craft Beer and Best Food of KOP Beerfest Royale. Others joining us in judging include Kristina Jenkins (Uwishunu), Marissa Magnatta (WMMR's Preston and Steve Show), Jared Littman (Philly Tap Finder) and Caroline Russock (Philadelphia City Paper).

Designated driver tix are available for $10 each, but if you prefer, there will be free shuttle service from the Norristown Transportation Center, which you can get to via SEPTA’s Manayunk/Norristown Regional Rail line or Norristown High Speed Line from 69th Street.

If you want a slightly more refined beer experience out in King of Prussia, snag a $55 ticket to the new Donnerstag Happy Hour on Thursday, October 3. You’ll be treated to an evening in a beer garden with special food and craft beer pairings, beer-infused cocktails, desserts and a special lineup of pumpkin brews. It all goes down from 5:30–9 PM, and if you can find a friend to bring with, tickets are just $100 for two.

Get your tickets here. We'll see you there!
