Redwood Launches Brunch With Bottomless Cocktails
New South Street wine bar Redwood is settling into its groove, with the back patio now open and happy hour rocking from 5–7 PM, seven days a week. Now you can pregame those weekend afternoons with brunch, offered 11:30 AM–4 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.
A morning of bottomless cocktails will run you $15, which is a great deal if you think you’ll have at least two (they’re usually $8 each, itself not a bad price point). You can even mix and match your endless sips — start with red or white sangria, then move on to a mimosa and then have a pear Bellini, if you like. Or just get down on Bloody Marys and use the spice to kick your hangover out of the way. Of course, you can always select from the 28 wines by the glass or eight beers on tap and more in bottles and cans.
On the food tip, there are plenty of options to satisfy your midday cravings. Chicken ‘n’ waffles served with honey butter, for example, or crab cake eggs Benedict. Flatbreads come in several varieties, and if you’re feeling extra-hungry, you can get a half-pound burger with all the toppings. If you’d rather a light bite, go for the charcuterie or cheese plates, a salad, or selections from the raw bar. Best part: everything on the menu is under $13. See you on South Street this weekend.
