If you’ve been waiting for a reason to visit the surprisingly vibrant food and drink scene in Conshohocken on the Main Line, now's the time. Conshohocken Restaurant Week runs from Monday–Sunday, September 16–22, and features prix-fixe dinners at 15 restaurants for either $20 or $35 per person.

Even better deals can be had if you decide to stop at the Wine & Spirits store and tote your own, since several of the participating spots are BYOs. A nice Torontes would go great with the seafood-saturated offerings at Chip Roman’s Blackfish, for example, or score a good rosso to accompany hearty veal osso bucco or lasagna at Viggiano’s.

If you’re craving a full bar to accompany your deals, look to Gypsy Saloon, where the global cuisine offerings include chipotle-marinated pork loin and lemongrass chicken satay. Or go Italian at Pepperoncini, where you can start with a cocktail and continue through classics like meatballs in marinara and veal Corleone.

Conshohocken is less than half an hour drive from Center City, assuming no traffic, but since we all know that is rare on the Schuylkill Expressway, consider taking SEPTA Regional Rail instead. The Manyaunk/Norristown line takes just over 30 minutes to deposit you in the town on the curve of the river, and you won’t have to worry about finishing your glass before a drive back home.
