Whether there’s any truth to the old adage that drinking gin makes tipplers sin remains to be seen. However, we can assure you that Thursday, November 7 is indeed National Gin Day.

Who knew?

Apparently, the good folks at Pennsylvania 6 did. And in honor of this dubious boozin’ and sinnin’ holiday, they are pulling out the stops to properly observe it.

Beginning at 7 p.m., the Midtown Village bar and restaurant will start mixing, shaking and pouring three different concoctions with gin as the base spirit. Included in the lineup are Bluecoat Gin with Lillet Rose and rhubarb bitters; Hendricks Gin with muddled fall spice (cumin, hot paprika, cinnamon, allspice) marinated persimmons and orange bitters; Sage — the gin-like herbal elixir from Art in Age — with honey-currant-thyme syrup.

Pennsylvania 6 chef Marc Plessis will also have food pairings available to compliment each of the cocktails. For entertainment, DJ Roland Riso will spin old school funk, soul and rock jams.
