Fans of the long-enduring cult British sci-fi series Doctor Who must surely have their long, stripey scarves in bunch in anticipation of the show’s 50th anniversary coming up on Saturday, November 23. For this historic occasion, the BBC will air “The Day of The Doctor,” a special the series producers are calling a “love letter to the fans.” And to ensure that this most gushy and geeky dispatch reaches the show’s worldwide fan base, it will be simulcast on television in more than 75 countries here on planet Earth. Here’s where you can gather with other Whovians to celebrate the Time Lord and his 50 year run.

Old City’s premier destination for anglophiles will show the special, and serve a selection of Doctor Who inspired dishes and drinks, including Sonic Screwdrivers, Sex in the TARDIS, and of course, specially priced pints of Newcastle.

The suburban watering hole is teaming up with MINI of the Main Line and Dock Street Brewery for a viewing party that benefits the Free Library of Philadelphia. Come in costume and enter to win a pair of VIP passes to Philly’s 2014 Wizard World, or simply enjoy a few rounds of Dock Street’s Dock-tor amber ale or the dark and menacing The Master porter. A full spread of Doctor Who inspired bites will be served buffet style, and a MINI TARDIS will also be on display. Plus there’s going to be a ton of raffles, prizes, swag and other giveaways.
