Ranstead Room Shakes Up New Cocktails For Winter
Ranstead Room, the semi-secret, dimly-lit and sexy-as-hell cocktail bar tucked away behind Stephen Starr’s Rittenhouse Mexican haunt El Rey, just updated its roster of potables for the frigid and blustery drinking days that lie ahead as we ease into winter.
The ten cocktails making their debut with this rollout were specially formulated to help those who order them better adapt to the season’s dropping temps, and melt a little of the frost that comes with them.
New Libations include everything from a traditional Hot Toddy with bourbon (or rum), honey and nutmeg and a Coffee Cocktail with cognac, port, whole egg, and cinnamon to a Philadelphia Cocktail, gin, dry vermouth, and Curacao and a Secret Solstice, applejack, lime, ginger, apple juice, and soda. Of course, bartender’s choice, a completely made-to-order option, remains as a standby. All the cocktails are priced at $12 a pop.
