Recap: Drink Philly's First Friday #whyilovephilly Party at the Hamilton Family Arts Center [PHOTOS]
Once again, you came, you drank, you ate, you drank some more, and more than likely, you had a great time. We sure did. And we have you to thank for the rousing success that Drink Philly's #whyilovephilly Party at the Arden Theater's Hamilton Family Arts Center was last week.
More than 600 people turned out, and helped raise more than $3,000 for the Arden, and garnered more than 1,300 entries for the #whyilovephilly Instagram campaign. Not too shabby, huh?
Don’t worry, you didn’t overstay your welcome though. That whole thing with lights going out was merely a technical difficulty. And thankfully, it came at the end of the night when things were wrapping up, and not during Tom Moon and Ensemble Novo’s set.
Though the rain seemed to be coming down in buckets outside, thirsty masses unfazed by inclement weather packed both floors at the Arden Theater’s Hamilton Family Arts Center.
Upstairs, we had Moscow Mules from the generous folks at Philadelphia Distilling, and great grub from the likes of Joe’s Steaks, Victoria Freehouse, Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse and Headhouse, Little Baby’s Ice Cream, Milkboy, and Continental. Downstairs had food from High Street on Market, and Bierstube, among others. Victory Brewing Co., Yards Brewing Co., Round Guys Brewing, Triumph Brewing, Home Brewed Events, and Philadelphia Brewing Co. all brought some great beers too.
Extra special thanks go out to our partners Philly Love Notes, Philebrity, and the Arden Theater for making the party all the more successful.
