Tickets to Jose Garces' Volver Go On Sale; First Night of Service Set For April 16
Official word from the Garces Group has the Iron Chef’s long awaited restaurant Volver at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts going live on Wednesday April 16.
The restaurant, which is touted as the first of it’s kind in Philadelphia, requires dinner guests to purchase tickets in advance. Just 40 seats will be available for two seatings each night. Those tickets go on sale today, Wednesday, March 12.
The ticketed dinners will run upwards of $75-$120 per person for a pre-theater eight-course menu, and as much as $175-$250 per person for a more ambitious 12-course tasting later in the evening. The ticket price covers the seat, the meal, still or sparkling water and a 20 percent service charge and tax. Drinks, of course, will cost more.
Right now the beverage program’s specifics are little nebulous, but count on there being several pairing options for dinner, as well as a la carte drink options, that include an extensive sparkling wine and wine by the glass or bottle.
In addition ticketed dining, Volver will have a lounge where guests — walk-ins included — can enjoy drinks.
Check out the restaurant’s website for additional ticketing information.
