Lemon Hill, which recently began going dark on Mondays to let the front- and back-of-the-house staffs enjoy a day rest after busy weekends, will open on Monday, March 24 for a good cause.

The Fairmount bar and restaurant will play host to five of the city’s premier bartenders who together will present Cocktails For a Cause, a benefit for Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign. Half of the proceeds from cocktails sold will be donated directly to the organization to help fund its mission to end child hunger.

Visiting bartenders include No Kid Hungry’s mixologist chair Phoebe Esmon and her partner-in-crime Christian Gaal, both from Emmanuelle, as well as Michael Treffehn from The Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co., Vince Stipo from Vernick Food & Drink, and Lemon Hill’s very own Michelle Curtis.

Each bartender will present one special cocktail based on Beefeater or Plymouth gin, which will be available at $8 a pop from 9 PM to midnight.

The ‘Cocktails For A Cause’ tour will continue in the weeks ahead, with scheduled stops at Emmanuelle on April 14, Franklin Mortgage & Investment Co. on April 28, and Vernick Food & Drink on May 12.
