Celebrate Philadelphia at the #whyilovephilly Summer Party, June 26

Celebrate Philadelphia at the #whyilovephilly Summer Party, June 26

Are you ready for the party of the summer? Philly Love Notes and Drink Philly have teamed up again, this time with the Delaware River Waterfront Corp, for what is sure to be a memorable event.

On Thursday, June 26, head down to the Delaware waterfront and the new Spruce Street Harbor Park (SSHP) to celebrate everything you love about Philly. The park doesn’t officially open to the public until Friday, June 27, so you’ll be getting a sneak peek of this awesome new space.

The SSHP will feature floating barges with a restaurant, bar, and stage, nets that suspend visitors over the water, an 80-hammock lounge, an urban beach and boardwalk, a mist area, and more. Talk about a summer paradise!

In addition to the SSHP sneak peek, XPN will be presenting the record release of Ron Gallo’s album, “Ronny”, with musical guests The Lawsuits and Up the Chain. And yes, they will be playing on the floating barges!

Unlike past events, tickets will be required. They are $10 each and include a drink ticket. All of the proceeds from the evening will go to the Delaware River Waterfront Corp, the non-profit in charge of programming and development along the Central Delaware Waterfront.

Update: Little Baby's has announced the ice cream flavor for the event! The ice cream includes poundcake from Stock's Bakery in Kensington, Strawberries from Greensgrow Farm, mint from Little Baby's garden and a splash of freeze dried strawberries for fun. The suggested name so far is Strawberry Mansion. Any other ideas, head over to the Facebook event page and let us know!

We'll also have awesome vedors at the event! Look for Duke & Winston, PHLMade, US*U.S., Art Star, Philadelphia Independents, Hog Island Press, Eyes Habit, and Wear Liberty.

We'd also like to give a big shoutout to our sponsors!
