Victory Brewing Co. Introduces New IPA Series, Moving Parts
The prolific brewmasters at Victory Brewing Company this week launched yet another new IPA series. This time, it's under the banner of Moving Parts, and comes billed as an "ever-evolving IPA." The first installment should be appearing on beer store shelves in 22 oz. bottles in the days ahead, and on draft at bars.
The new brew, and each successive rollout that follows, celebrates and showcases the marriage of hops, malt, yeast and water in the process of producing in-demand India pale ales. According to the brewery, Moving Parts tweaks those fundamental building blocks to create “a fluid, ever-evolving, moving work of wonderfully drinkable art in a bottle.”
Adjustments will be made to ingredients and the overall processes, but the same basic recipe will remain mostly the same. The brewers hope to explore an endless array of flavor profiles through blending and varying the levels of different whole flower hop varieties, malts and yeasts, as well as manipulating the fermentation process.
Moving Parts: Batch 01 showcases American, English and Czech hop varieties as well as German malts with a little bit of sweetness to create a bright, malty body balanced against the unified impact of the five different hops, which range from citrus to pine in flavor and aroma.
