Celebrate Germany's World Cup Victory with German Rieslings at Tria
Just when you thought it was safe to return to bars around town and enjoy a drink free from all traces of World Cup Soccer revelry, Tria is saluting this year’s tournament champions with a celebration of German Riesling.
The wine cafe’s locations near Rittenhouse and Washington Square West are deviating a little from their previously scheduled Summer of Riesling programming to give us all a taste of some varietals from the dry, white wine’s Motherland.
For the remainder of July, Tria is showcasing three Rieslings that are all German and all worthy of sipping in the sweltering summer heat.
This week's Riesling roster offers:
Bubbly
Sparkling Riesling Sekt "Brut Zero," Weingut Knauss, '12 (Württemberg, Germany)
A Sekt-y summer wine made in Champagne-method with dry, toasty apple notes ($15 glass)Off-Dry
Riesling Alte Reben "Wiltinger," St. Urbans-Hof, ‘12 (Mosel, Germany)
