Shark Week is back on Sunday, August 10, and once again the Discovery Channel goes all shark, all the time for seven straight days. Plough & the Stars (123 Chestnut St.; 215-733-0300)
The Old City standby is showing Shark Week on the big screens throughout the week, and serving up drink and food specials that are bound to start a feeding frenzy. The eats include fish and chips, mussels and a fish wrap and more, as well as specialty Shark Week cocktails and discounts on Flying Fish’s Red Fish. It all kicks off on Sun., Aug. 10 with The Land Shark Happy Hour at 8 PM. On Thurs., Aug. 14, the good folks from New Jersey’s Flying Fish Brewery will stop by with drink specials and Fish Gear that they will raffle off. followed by a Blood Mary Tasting on Sat., Aug. 16.

The Institute (549 N. 12th St.; 267-318-7772)
For Shark Week the Institute has viewing parties lined up for two nights, with Jaws, Shark Week programming and Sharknado on Wed., Aug. 13, and Jaws 2, Shark Week programming, and Sharknado 2 on Thurs., Aug. 14. In addition to what’s on the screens, Institute will serve Narragansetts in the iconic, retro "Jaws" can for $2.
