The Roots exodus to New York makes locals Black Landlord Philadelphia’s premier live hip-hop band.
On Thursday, August 14, the extraordinary 11-piece ensemble will kick off MilkBoy’s third anniversary extravaganza, a three-day celebration that includes more than 10 other acts, including nationally renowned recording artists like The Ataris. It all runs from August 14 - August 16, and in addition to rocking the socks off revelers, the festivities will include generous drink specials and no cover at the door.
Each night of the big blowout will feature beers, cocktails and shots marked down to $3. There’s no word on what the prices will be for the bar, restaurant and live music venue’s expanded selection of Citywide Specials.
