Vetri Crew to Give a Sneak Peek of Lo Spiedo, Tues., Sept. 16
Lo Spiedo, the forthcoming spit-roast driven restaurant from Marc Vetri and company, is still a few weeks away from opening at the Navy Yard, but you can get a taste of what’s to come on Tuesday, September 16, when its sister restaurant Osteria hosts a special preview dinner.
The Italian-style rotisserie will specialize in wood-roasted meats — think pork ribs, whole chickens and some much ballyhooed spit-cooked wings — and feature a full service bar with bottled, kegged and barrel-aged cocktails, as well as draft beer and a small, well thought out wine list.
For Tuesday’s dinner, Lo Spiedo Chef de cuisine Scott Calhoun and Vetri lieutenants Jeff Michaud and Brad Spence will prepare and serve a four-course feast comprised of some of the dishes that will be on the new restaurant’s menus.
