Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder: Yards Love Stout Coming Back in Bottles
It’s true, you can’t catch lightning in a bottle, but love on the other hand, is totally doable.
As proof, we have Yards Love Stout, the luscious and most endearing dark brew that’s been available only as a nitro draft since at least 2009 coming back in 2015 in 12 oz. bottles.
It was first brewed as an oyster stout back in 1996, but the brewers later nixed the added shellfish and let the lovable rich and creamy beer’s bitter coffee and sweet chocolate qualities stand on their own. To date, not a single drinker has lodged a complaint about the missing mollusks. In fact, Love Stout’s only grown increasingly popular.
One small change this time, rather than carbonating with nitro, it will get a shot of CO2 before going into bottles. Keep an eye out for sixes and 24-pack cases at beer stores in PA, NJ, DE, eastern MD and northern VA in early 2015.
Also returning next year is Yards limited release Chocolate Love Stout which will begin turning up in 750ml bombers as early as January.
