Second Annual Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Festival Returns, Dec. 6
On Saturday, December 6 from 2–5:30 PM the Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Festival will return, this year to the 23rd Street Armory. This is the second year that the Bacon and Beer Festival will be held in Philly and this year is set to be bigger and badder than last year. This event began in Boston and through its popularity and success the event has made its way to some other great beer cities in the country, so naturally it found its way to Philadelphia.
28 restaurants have signed on the serve their best bacon dishes to be paired with some amazing beers provided by 20, mostly local, breweries. Check here for the full list of restaurants and beer that will be at the event. The bacon that each restaurant will use in their dishes will come from 1735 Meats, a local Philly bacon producer, so guests will enjoy the tastiest and freshest bacon in each dish.
Proceeds from the Philadelphia Bacon and Beer Festival benefit Manna, a nonprofit organization that helps people with AIDs and other life-threatening illnesses get hot, healthy meals.
Tickets are $46.50 a piece for all you can eat and drink and they’ve been going fast. If you're a baller, tickets are $61.50. The only difference? You get to call yourself a baller for donating an extra $15 to Manna. If we know Philly, this is an event that is sure to sell out, so don't delay!
