Here's Your Last Chance to Enter Philly Beer Week's 'Win a Trip to Belgium' Raffle

Philly Beer Week’s Opening Tap festivities are still more than six months away, but the run-up to the ten-plus days of suds-soaked celebrations will get underway on Tuesday, December 9.

That’s when Philly Beer Week reps and participating brewers will gather at Center City’s brand new City Tap House Logan to draw winners for the fest’s annual Win a Trip to Belgium Raffle.

For the uninitiated, this game of chance randomly selects one local brewer and one very lucky local drinker to travel to Belgium to craft PBW’s Belgo-American Collaboration, which over the years has become one of the most sought after brews featured during the big beer blowout.

This year’s collaboration will be brewed in cooperation with Andre Janssens and Dries Janssens, head brewers at Brouwerij Hof ten Dormaal, a nearly 100% self-sustaining brewery located in Tildonk, Belgium.

The Belgo-American Collaboration for PBW 2015 will be imported by Twelve Percent Imports, the raffle’s official sponsor. The winner will select their brew partner from a distinguished list of local brewers, then accompany him or her on a whirlwind expedition to Brussels, Belgium in January 2015. The package will include: two roundtrip, coach class plane tickets and two nights of hotel accommodations (winner and brewer). Winners will purchase tickets ahead of travel dates, with Twelve Percent Imports submitting reimbursements within 30 days after travel.

All you have to do to enter the contest is show up at 6 PM, purchase raffle tickets, pick the brewer you’d most like to spend time with in Belgium, and then wait until 9 PM to see if your name gets drawn.

Raffle tickets cost $5 a piece, or five for $20. They are also available ahead of the drawing through the PBW website.

The brewers in this year’s running include:

John Wible of 2nd Story Brewing
David Wood of Barren Hill
Trevor Hayward of Evil Genius
John Stemler of Free Will
Evan Fritz of Manayunk Brewing
Gordon Grubb of Nodding Head
Rob DeMaria of Prism
