Tea time, the age old tradition of sitting down for a mid-afternoon respite, is making a comeback at
The Dandelion in Rittenhouse. Starting
Saturday, February 21, you can enjoy tea, cakes, sandwiches, tarts and a boozy twist on a royal classic.
Every afternoon from 3–5 PM, you can choose to sip on a pot of tea for two for only $4, or kick things up a notch with boozy tea cocktails. You can also pair your beverages with tea tiers made up of pastries, tarts and sandwiches. With choices like these, you’ll be feeling like royalty in no time.
The tea cocktail menu includes the Rooibos Mulled Wine with Rooibos tea steeped malbec with cinnamon, clove, orange and brandy, Chai Cider made with fresh pressed apple juice, Bulleit Bourbon, chai tea, honey and spices, Green Tea Mojito with green tea, Goslings rum, brown sugar, mint and lime and the White Rose with Tito’s, earl grey, lavender, grapefruit and lemon. Just remember, pinky out.
If you’re feeling a little peckish while you sip, three different tea tiers are available for your grazing pleasure. Choices include the Who Stole the Tarts tier made of housemade pastries and tarts, the Down the Rabbit Hole tier featuring petite sandwiches and canapes or go all out for A Royal Occasion featuring three tiers of sandwiches, pastries and scones and a split of house champagne.
So forget happy hour, stick that pinky out and drink like royalty at The Dandelion.
