Eat Good, Do Good at Taste of the Nation Philadelphia, May 3

We know Sunday nights are usually reserved for lounging around in your pj’s and catching up on that show all your friends are talking about, but you might want to make an exception for Sunday, May 3. What’s so special about that Sunday? Taste of the Nation is that evening, and it’s not only a delicious event but a charitable one as well.

Taste of the Nation is a culinary benefit for the No Kid Hungry campaign, which is dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. “Philadelphia’s Taste of the Nation is more than just a chance to eat and drink—though that part is pretty great,” said Linda Huss, co-chair of the event. “It’s the opportunity to give back and connect children in need to healthy meals. It’s a fantastic night out for a deserving cause.”

Over 50 of Philadelphia’s finest chefs and mixologists will come together to serve up some delicious dishes, drinks and desserts for your tasting pleasure. Look for chefs from Aldine, Bing Bing Dim Sum, Creekstone Farms, The Good King Tavern, Opa, Townsend, Kensington Quarters, Pub & Kitchen and many more. In addition to amazing food, be sure to sample drinks from 1 Tippling, Franklin Mortgage, Amis and more. For the full lineup of chefs and mixologists, click here.

The event runs from 6 to 9 PM at Loews Philadelphia. Tickets are still available for $95 for general admission or $145 for VIP. All proceeds benefit No Kid Hungry. VIP admission includes an extra hour of tasting and drinking (doors for VIP open at 5 PM). A historically competitive silent auction will also run throughout the night. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit NoKidHungry.org/Philadelphia.
