Where to Celebrate IPA Day in Philly

This Thursday, August 6 marks the 5th annual IPA Day. IPAs are as popular as ever, and IPA Day is a celebration of these sought-after hop bombs of the craft beer world. Celebrating IPA Day is simple. Grab a bottle, can, growler, or mug of your favorite hoppy brew and check in using #IPADay on your favorite social media platform.
 
If you don’t have any IPAs in your fridge, these bars will have some fantastic IPAs on tap for the occasion. Let us know your favorite IPA on Facebook or Twitter!

Tria Taproom
If you’re in the Rittenhouse neighborhood for IPA Day, swing by Tria Taproom where several special IPAs will be on tap for just $4 each, and a “hoppin’ good time” is promised. (2005 Walnut St.; 215-557-8277) 

Head to Fishtown where Bottle Bar will have 15 different IPAs on tap for your sipping pleasure. Look for IPAs like Habanero Sculpin by Ballast Point, Murren River IPA by Pizza Boy, Harbinger of Change by Conshohocken, and other favorites like Dirt Wolf by Victory and 2 Hearted by Bells. Prohibition Taproom
If you happen to be busy on Thursday, stop by Prohibition Taproom on Friday, August 7 and celebrate IPA Day with IPAs and IPA-themed menu items. Beers from Tired Hands, Yards, Dark Horse, and Vault Brewing will be on tap, and the menu will feature items like IPA-Brined Fried Chicken with hop-infused local honey on a Castle Valley Mills corn and spent grain waffle and Big Shmac with two all-shrimp patties, 2000 island sauce, pickles, cheese, lettuce, and onions on a spent grain roll.
