Joe Paterno Legacy Lager to Hit PA and NJ Shelves Soon

The late Joe Paterno is getting his own beer. Duquesne Brewing Company announced back in June that they would be brewing a Paterno Legacy Series to honor the legendary football coach “for his long-time service to the Commonwealth on and off the field in education, athletics, and philanthropy”.
The beer is a Vienna-style Lager that will be available in cans and on draft in Pennsylvania and New Jersey as early as this week. Cans feature Paterno’s image and a few of his lifetime achievements. A portion of the proceeds of Paterno Legacy Lager will go towards charities of the Paterno Family’s choosing.
