Australian Distillery to Release World's First Organic Vitamin Vodka

A company in Australia known as The Vitamin Alcohol Company has announced the production of the world’s first organic vitamin vodka.
The vodka, labeled creatively as Vitamin Vodka, is made from organic Australian sugar cane, distilled 12 times in copper pots, “diamond filtered”, and purportedly enhanced with “anti-hangover” vitamins. The Vitamin Alcohol Company’s European business manager Bradley Mitton, in an interview with Vice Munchies, reported the vitamins as being B, C, and K, which aid in hydration. The description of the spirit on Vitamin Alcohol’s website reports that it does not make the claim lightly. However, it’s unlikely these claims will be supported by an agency such as the FDA. As of yet, there is no report showing that organic spirits have a healthier effect than others.

Vitamin Vodka is not the first vitamin-infused spirit. In 2007, a San Francisco distillery launched Lotus Vodka, a vitamin and caffeine infused spirit. Lotus Vodka was short-lived, dying out in 2009 after an FDA investigation.
Vitamin Vodka is intended as a sipping spirit in a chilled glass or served with a bit of mineral water over ice. You definitely won’t be chugging this, as a bottle will set you back an impressive $1,600.
