After The Wishing Well at 9th and Catherine closed back in October, Bella Vista residents have been wondering what might show up in that space, and now we have an answer: Bar One, from Ryan Rubino (Ralph’s Italian Restaurant, which is across the street).

Opening chef Anthony Barone (who is, incidentally, Rubino’s father’s second cousin) helped inspire the name, and Rubino promises that Bar One, while inspired by Ralph’s Italian traditions, won’t be too similar to his original spot. Specifically, Bar One will be, well, more bar-focused, with a huge happy hour, small plates, and plenty of cocktail options.

There aren’t many other opening details yet, but we’re sure to find out more soon, as the projected opening date is April or May 2016. We’ll update soon with more info.
