The DNC Could Bring Extended Hours to Bars in Philadelphia
In a rare move that Philly hasn’t seen since the 2000 GOP Convention was in town, the 2016 DNC may end up bringing extended bar hours to the City of Brotherly Love.
Bars notoriously close right at 2 AM here, much to the chagrin of night owls and the amusement of out-of-towners, so clearly, the city wants to prove we’re just as good at drinking as any other city. In a one-hour Twitter chat held by the DNC Host Committee on February 16, the committee revealed that they are looking into extending bar hours during this event.
A7. Hours were extended in 2000, we’re looking into doing the same. #ConventionEats

This sounds pretty great, and we’ll update if it succeeds - maybe next, the committee can get rid of SEPTA tokens once and for all?
