Brewers around the world have been producing some pretty strange beers lately. From carrot beer to beer laced with stag semen, the possibilities of what you’ll find in your next pint are seemingly endless. While many of these beers don’t make it to Philly bars, one Norwegian beer brewed with money and frozen pizza will soon be on tap in Rittenhouse.

 

Tria Taproom will tap a keg of the Evil Twin and Lervig collaboration Big Ass Money Stout on Sunday, February 28, at 12 PM. The beer is a 17.5% ABV Imperial Stout brewed with ham and pepper pizzas and about $200 in currency ($100 US dollars, $100 Norwegian krone). Tria Taproom will also be running a flatbread special to celebrate pizza. All flatbreads will be half-off, all day long.

 

To round things out, Evil Twin Bozo Beer will also be on tap. This 16% ABV beer is described as a dessert-like brew made with molasses, lactose, chocolate, almond, hazelnut, vanilla bean, cinnamon, oak spiral, chili, marshmallow, muscovado sugar, chestnut, and coffee. That sounds like breakfast and dessert all rolled into one, if you ask us.

Tria Taproom is located at 2005 Walnut Street, and the doors open at 12 PM.
