Top of the Tower to Open Skygarten, a German Beer Garden on the 50th Floor
Top of the Tower, the event space that occupies both the 50th and 51st floor of Three Logan Square on Arch Street, is getting its very own beer garden this summer called the Skygarten, according to philly.com.
Doug Hager and Jeremy Nolan, the brains behind Whetstone Tavern and Brauhaus Schmitz, has collaborated with the Tower to create a 3,000 square foot space with both indoor and outdoor options. The focus will be on German beers, and though there will be plenty of canned and bottled options, there will also be four drafts. The initial lineup will include Double Nickel Brewing Company’s Pilsner (a local Pennsauken brew) alongside 3 German beers. The bar also feature cocktails crafted by Jesse Cornell, Skygarten's new beverage manager who's put in time at both Vesper and Neuf.
With great German beers, snacks from Jeremy Nolen, and an incredible view, the Skygarten will surely be a hot destination this summer, and the space should open sometime in early June — just in time for summertime rooftop drinking.
