Bars With Movies and Movie Theaters With Bars in Philadelphia
What’s better than dinner and a movie? Maybe enjoying both coupled with booze! Check out these area bars that feature movies and movie theaters that also serve food and drinks.

Movie Tavern
Feel free to get comfortable in the leather seats that line this eight-screen movie theater in Collegeville. With a full service bar and varied menu, burgers and beer can be delivered directly to your seat with the push of a button. Not ready to leave after the credits roll?  Visit the lobby bar for continued appetizers and good spirits (140 Market St., Collegeville; 610-831-9500)

Trocadero Theater
This independent music venue shows more than concerts and special events.  For just $3, anyone who’s 21+ can catch a flick from their balcony every Monday at 8 PM. The cost of admission also goes towards your first drink. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and arriving before 7 PM guarantees one free beer.  Indulge in popcorn, candy and other concession stand favorites to enhance your movie-viewing experience. (1003 Arch St.; 215-922-6888)

AMC Cinema Suites
For an upscale movie dining experience, anyone 21+ can enjoy their big-screen picture with access to a cocktail bar, extensive menu, and service at the click of a button delivered directly to your personal leather recliner. Visit the bar, MacGuffins, before and after to take complete advantage of this dine-in movie operation. Although sites are limited, there are three conveniently located in New Jersey, including Edison. (multiple locations)

Jet Wine Bar
Thursday nights are movie nights for this South Street wine bar. Come in from 4–7 PM for happy hour before the premiere at 9 PM, and check out their Facebook page ahead of time to find out which flick will be featured. Don’t forget to order the motion picture inspired cocktail at the special price of $5 and some popcorn to go with the film. (1525 South St.; 215-735-1116)

North 3rd
Every other Tuesday night in their lounge, this Northern Liberties bar invites viewers to be part of Fancypants Cinema. Movies are not pre-selected, as they show whatever short films aspiring filmmakers bring in that night. Grab a beer or a late night snack while taking in local talent.  (801 N. 3rd St.; 215-413-3666)

Want to save a few bucks? PFS Roxy hosts BYO Wine Night every Wednesday evening after 7PM. Bring a bottle of your favorite vino to enjoy during a screening for the folks at the Roxy to uncork. A small convenience fee of $3 per drinker will be charged. (2023 Sansom St, Philadelphia; 267-639-9508)

Visit this theater on UPenn’s campus if you are in the mood for a traditional movie theater experience. Cinemark offers a nice selection of local craft beers to pair with your popcorn. They even offer a rotating selection of gelato for moviegoers looking for the finer things! Stop by this theater on Tuesday for Discount Day, when ticket prices are only $5.50. (4012 Walnut St.; 215-386-9800)

Studio Movie Grill
This movie theater offers an extensive bar selection with over 60 premium spirits, signature cocktails, and local microbrews. In-theater food and beverage service is also available if you’d like to have a round or two during the movie. The Movie Grill also offers a 2 for $25 dinner deal to share with a date or a friend, and they also have special deals on cocktails such as $5 margaritas on Mondays, $5 Long Island Iced Teas on Tuesdays, and much more! (53 S 69th St, Upper Darby; 610-553-9090)

Reading Terminal Market
Haven’t heard about Reading Terminal’s monthly movie series yet? Enjoy food & drink from market purveyors before the movie and head to Molly Malloy’s for happy hour beforehand from 6-7pm. Buy tickets for the next screening here and stay tuned for future movie announcements from the market! (51 N 12th St.; 215-922-2317)
