Mission, An Indoor Beer Garden, to Open Above Oyster House This Summer
The owner of Oyster House, Sam Mink, and his Executive Chef, Brett Naylor, are partnering to open up an indoor beer garden directly above their current restaurant at 1516 Sansom Street. Mission is inspired by Mink’s travels to Mexico City as well as his nine years spent in San Francisco’s Mission District. The Mission District is known for its rich Latin culture and flavors from which the menu and drinks gain its inspiration and from where the garden gets its name.
Mission will have eight taps with four draft options, as well as a bottle list of beers and wines. They will offer two house cocktails as well as a house red and white. Obviously, if this beer garden is Mex-inspired, there’s also going to be a great selection of tequila and mescal. Juices will be pressed on-site for the bartenders to blend the perfect margs and sangrias, and there will be some non-alcoholic fresh juice options too.
Stay tuned as Mission plans to open this summer! Lunch and brunch hours will be announced after opening and menus should pop up soon on their @PhillyMission Instagram.
