Michael Schulson's Harp & Crown is Now Open

Michael Schulson is following up his latest venture (Double Knot) with a new project — Harp & Crown, which is now open at 1525 Sansom Street.

Harp & Crown’s 12,500 square foot space on Sansom is a mix of old world and new, with “garden” seating by the front entrance, a luxurious and large 32-seat bar space, 24 foot high ceilings, four antique chandeliers, and cozy booths lining the walls.

However, the stunning first floor isn’t all Harp & Crown has to offer — if guests head downstairs to the ground floor, they’ll find Elbow Lane, a cozy bar with worn leather chairs, library decor, cushy couches, and a two-lane bowling alley opposite a second bar, which will offer a focus on spirit-forward drinks.

Reservations are required for the bowling alley, but the bar is open to all guests.

Much like Double Knot, the two floors will have different vibes and menus so that guests can try a diverse range of plates and drinks. The first floor’s menu will focus on New American cuisine with a global influence, and Elbow Lane will serve a more casual menu of charcuterie, pizzas and bar snacks.

As for the drinks, the downstairs bar will be outfitted with 10 taps, 18 different wines by the glass, and an innovative cocktail list that includes creative concoctions like the Black Velvet, above (housemade stout cordial and champagne) and the Dying Declaration, below (a smoky, cinnamon-infued Old Fashioned).

Stop by Harp & Crown now to try either one of the exciting new experiences this restaurant offers — with two equally excellent options in one space, you’ll certainly never get bored.
