Skygarten Relaunches as Skylodge For the Winter
Utilizing Skygarten’s indoor space, co-owner Mickey Rowley and his business partner Doug Hager (of Brauhaus Schmitz) have turned this top floor space into a cozy winter lodge featuring taxidermied deer heads, a full hot chocolate bar where you can add peppermint schapps and bourbon to your childhood-inspired hot treat, a shot ski, and a projected fireplace on the back wall that’s always crackling away.
The bar features wintery, German-sourced beers like Doppelbocks and Dunkels alongside mulled wine, wines by the glass, craft cocktails, the aforementioned spiked hot chocolate, and hot apple cider. Bar manager Jesse Cornell created this cozy cocktail menu, which is sure to keep guests warm and happy even while temperatures dip below freezing outside.
There’s also a great selection of comfort food available to pair with your drinks, including bourbon wings, a bacon and brie burge, chicken and waffles, “Pocono Poutine,” and a signature SkyLodge beef stew.
Skygarten is open Wednesday-Friday, 5 PM - 10 PM and Saturdays from 5 PM - 11 PM through January, though it may be extended through the remainder of the winter. Head there today to cozy up with some hot chocolate and enjoy the space’s amazing views.
