Snow Day Specials and Bars Open in Philadelphia

Snow has hit Philadelphia once again, and it's time to roll out the Snow Day Specials.

If you must travel anywhere today or tonight, February 20, exercise caution. But if you wind up with some time on your hands, check out what bars and restaurants are open and what kind of specials they're running.

If you’re a bar or restaurant that’s open, let us know with the hashtag #OpenInPHL.

Some of today's specials include:

Assembly Rooftop Lounge
The Logan's rooftop bar will be offering $5 hot toddies all day.

BAR
Stop by this dive bar for $8 "Old Cold One" cans with High Life and Overholt Rye and $10 Twisted Toddies.

CO-OP
This hotel lounge in University City is serving up $10 spiked hot chocolates to keep you warm.

Garage
Both Garage locations — Passyunk and Fishtown — are running snow day specials; Fishtown is offering $8 Northchata cocktails (vanilla bourbon, almond milk and cinnamon simple syrup), and Passyunk is serving up $6 Old Grandad hot toddies.

Good Dog Bar
This Philadelphia classic always offers half-priced canned beers on Wednesday, which just happens to coincide with this snow day.

The Good King Tavern
Queen Village's premier wine bar is offering buck-a-shuck oysters from 5 PM - 7 PM plus $10 glasses of bubbly (while supplies last).

Heritage
Pair grilled cheese and tomato soup with Heritage's special "Hot Lobby," a warm take on their Hotel Lobby cocktail made with coffee and bourbon.

Joe's Steaks + Soda Shop
Every time it snows, Joe's offers $5 milkshakes to enjoy with their classic cheesesteaks.

Manatawny Stillworks Passyunk
The South Philly outpost of this local distillery will be offering $10 hot toddies and "Hot Buttered Jawns" using their own spirits.

Misconduct Tavern
On snow days, this sports bar offers $1 off of Quaker City Shrub Bulldogs (a spike Quaker City Shrub in the flavor of your choosing with a mini-bottle of your favorite spirit tipped into it).

Ocean Prime
This seafood spot in Center City offers an extended happy hour every time it snows, with discounted drinks and food from 4:30 PM until close.

Philadelphia Brewing Company
This Kensington brewery will be serving up $7 citywides using well shors and draft pints to keep you warm today.

Red Owl Tavern
Enjoy a beer and a burger while you watch the snow fall on Independence Hall — today, you can get the Red Owl Tavern Burger and a beer of your choice for just $15.

Square 1682
On snow days, this bar and restaurant at the Hotel Palomar offers their 1682 Burger with the beer of your choice for — you guessed it — $16.82.

Time
This Midtown Village whiskey bar will serve up $6 hot toddies and $7 parsnips soups from 5 PM until close.

Urban Farmer
The Logan Hotel's steakhouse will serve $5 Irish coffees to celebrate this snow day.
