Enjoy All-American Spirits at the Pennsylvania Spirits Convention & the American Whiskey Convention, March 23 & 24

by Drink Philly on Mar 17, 2017 in Event Listing

Philadelphia is welcoming two incredible spirit conventions back to back - specifically, the Pennsylvania Spirits Convention on Thursday, March 23 from 6:30 PM - 9 PM and the American Whiskey Convention on Friday, March 24 at 6:30 PM. Both events will be held at Citizens Bank Park, and both events are selling VIP tickets that allow high-roller guests an extra hour of tasting beginning at 5:30 PM.

On Thursday evening, the first and largest event dedicated to Pennsylvania spirits will kick off this boozy weekend in the Hall of Fame club with over 110 local spirits from distilleries all over the state. Whiskeys, gins, brandies, rums, vodkas, barrel-aged spirits, and cordials from throughout PA will be represented from homegrown brands like Boyd and Blair (Pittsburgh), Social Still (Bethlehem), Bluebird Distilling (Phoenixville), Barrel 21 Distillery (State College), Old Republic Distillery (York), Stateside Urbancraft Vodka (Philadelphia), Manatawny Still Works (Pottstown), and more. The event will also feature cocktails crafted by some of Pennsylvania’s finest bartenders, educational discussions and panels, and local farmers and vendors looking to sell their wares.

Immediately following this huge event is the 2nd Annual American Whiskey Festival, where distilleries like Wild Turkey, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, Sazerac Rye, Maker’s Mark, Booker’s, Russell’s Reserve, and more will be represented. This event will feature a Luxury Lounge as well, which will feature tailored items, shoe shines, straight-edge razor shaves, and more, and guests will have the unique opportunity to interact directly with master distillers like Jimmy Russell from Wild Turkey throughout the evening.

For the Pennsylvania Spirits Convention, general admission tickets are $75, VIP tickets are $100, and designated driver tickets are $45. For the American Whiskey Convention, general admission tickets are $100, VIP tickets are $150, and designated driver tickets are $50. If you’re interested in attending both events, there is a ticket bundle available which costs $169 for general admission and $199 for VIP tickets, with a designated driver option for $90. You can buy your tickets directly through either website.

Choose between the two conventions, or attend both - whatever your choice, don’t miss out on two straight days of American spirits right here in Philadelphia.
