There Are Two New Frozen Rose Treats to Keep You Cool This Summer

by The Drink Nation on Jun 27, 2017 in Wine

Are you starting to feel like the rosé market, between gummies, giant bottles, and even deodorants, is getting to be a little much? Too bad.

First up, according to Cosmopolitan, a company called FrutaPop is producing rosé ice pops for Rosé Season, a website dedicated entirely to rosé — if you liked Fla-Vor-Ice as a kid, you’ll definitely love this boozy version. Available in two flavors (Watermelon Mint Lemonade and Coconut Rosé Sangria) with an ABV of 5%, these are available to ship nationwide, but do come at a price, with each pop costing around $10 apiece in packs of either 12, 24, or 48.

If you’re looking for something a little more decadent, Food & Wine reports that California’s own Smitten Ice Cream is producing a rosé ice cream, which will be available in their stores and to ship nationwide. The key here is that the rosé used for the ice cream is a local favorite — the flavor itself is called Sonoma Rosé and uses Scribe Winery’s Una Lou Rosé, a canned wine out of the Sonoma Valley.

There’s certainly no shortage of summer-inspired rosé treats this year, so if you’re a rosé fan, start ordering your frozen treats now, although it’ll likely take a lot of servings to get a solid buzz.
