by Drink Philly on Mar 27, 2019 in Roundups

Whether you’re with a large group or just had a long day at work, sometimes you just want to forgo a glass of wine and go right for the whole bottle. If you’re looking to go beyond wines by the glass, Philadelphia has some great deals, from half off bottles to perfectly priced carafes. Read on for the best wine by the bottle deals.

Ocean Prime

a.kitchen
Rittenhouse Square's a.kitchen offers tons of wine deals — every day during happy hour, you can score a $25 bottle of wine (with prosecco available during colder months and rosé available during the warmer months). On the first Wednesday of every month, all regular-sized wine bottles (excluding magnums) are 50% off, including some of the rarer vintages on their extensive wine list, and on all other Wednesdays, the bar will pick a rare or special bottle and offer it at a discounted price, along with a food special. On the third Saturday of each month, the bar hosts "Flight Night," where guests can score a discounted monthly flight and can also snag pours by the glass for lower prices. (135 S 18th St.; 215-825-7030)

Devon Seafood Grill
Every Sunday, you can score amazing prices on bottles of wine while overlooking Rittenhouse Square itself — Devon offers half-priced bottles of wine up to $100 or less and 25% off bottles $100 and over once a week. (225 S 18th St.; 215-546-5940)
