Philly's Best Happy Hours: $5 Snacks & Great Drink Specials Every Day of the Week at Bing Bing Dim Sum

Welcome to Philly’s Best Happy Hours, a feature highlighting great happy hours in different neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia. Since Drink Philly started out as a place to find happy hours in the city, we thought it was only right to return to our roots and turn the spotlight on some of Philly’s absolute best happy hour deals.

Our focus this week is on Bing Bing Dim Sum, the reimagined dim sum spot from Cheu Noodle Bar's Shawn Darragh & Ben Puchowitz. With psychedelic dumpling decor and a menu full of strong cocktails, unique dumplings, and Philly-style bao buns, Bing Bing, located in the heart of Philadelphia's bustling Passyunk Avenue, always delivers, testing your taste buds with combinations you likely never imagined.

Perhaps the best thing about Bing Bing, however, is their expansive happy hour, which features a huge variety of food and drink specials every day of the week. From Monday through Friday, happy hour runs from 5 PM - 7 PM, and on Saturdays & Sundays, catch happy hour from 3 PM - 5 PM.

Every single day of the week, you can try out the $6 bartender's choice cocktail (which changes every single day, depending on what the bartender feels like making), $5 house red and white wines, $2 Miller High Lifes, and $1 off drafts.

If you're coming with a group — or you and your friend are feeling especially thirsty — grab one of their Happy Family pitchers for $10 off (normally priced at $30), which serve 4-6 people cocktails like the Lean Back (vodka, lemongrass, creme de violette, lemon, and seltzer).

Pair your drinks with any one of their $5 dim sum snacks — the Bing Bing pickle plate, which rotates seasonal pickled vegetables, is the only happy hour exclusive on the menu, and the rest of the list is stocked with some of the regular menu's most popular items. Enjoy the Italian roast pork bao, a classic Philly take on traditional dim sum, alongside the scarlet dumplings (made with beets), chicken chorizo dumplings, and spicy cucumber salad.

"Not only are our happy hour specials featured seven days a week, we feature some of our favorite dishes at the same portion sizes but at discounted prices," says Briana DiGiorgio, a server at Bing Bing.

"These are some of our favorite dishes, and there's something for every diet. For drinks, we have something for everyone — wine, beer, and cocktails — and what's great about the cocktail is that it's different every day. It's the bartender's chance to be creative, and it's all about what the bartenders feel like doing that day."

Head to Bing Bing any day of the week to share a pitcher with friends, snack on completely unique dumplings, and enjoy the eclectic atmosphere and attitude of Bing Bing, a dim sum restaurant like nothing else you've experienced before.
