Where to Celebrate Halloween 2017 in Philadelphia

Halloween in Philadelphia is just a few days away, so here are some of the best ways to participate in this boozy, spooky holiday.
 
Thursday, October 26
We’re totally biased but this is going to be the best event of the Halloween season. Sail down the Delaware on the Spirit of Philadelphia for a three hour party with an open bar, dinner buffet, a DJ, activities and a costume contest. Tickets cost $55 and you can purchase them ahead of time here. The boat begins boarding at 6:30 PM. (401 S Christopher Columbus Blvd.)
 
Thursday, October 26-Friday, October 27
The AIDS Law Project is hosting their annual Halloween party this year it will be twice the fun! It will kick off Thursday with a gourmet three-course dinner and wine pairing at 6 PM. Then the fun continues on Friday at 9 PM with a dance party, DJ, costume contest, beer, cocktails and light fare. To attend both the dinner and dance party tickets are $250, if you’re just in for the dancing it’s $50. You can find tickets here. (1522 N American St)
 
Friday, October 27-Saturday, October 28
South Philly's biggest sports bar will be hosting two huge Halloween celebration this weekend. Tickets start at $10 and can be purchased in advance. VIP packages are also available. Tickets include one free drink, giveaways, a costume contest with over $2,500 in cash and prizes, and live DJs. (1100 Pattison Ave.)
 
Friday, October 27
Head to this free party at this Headhouse bar for live music from the Mikey Junior Band, a costume contest, prizes, fire breathers, fortune tellers are more. There will also be a “Witching Hour” starting at 11 PM with drink specials changing every 15 minutes. (509 S 2nd St.)
 
Friday, October 27
Hang out at Philadelphia's most sinful bar, Devil's Alley, for a devilish throwback party. They’ll be showing their favorite movies and shows of the era as well as having a DJ to spin the tunes of the decade. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 which include two draft beers and bar snacks. Specials for the night include $4 well drinks, $3 Yuengling, and $4 house wine. (1907 Chestnut St.)
 
Saturday, October 28
Celebrate Morgan’s Pier’s final night of the season at their annual Halloween Bash. Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door and include a 5 hour open bar with premium drinks (until they run out), unlimited wells and domestics and a costume contest with cash prizes. Doors open at 9 PM. (221 N Columbus Blvd.)
  
Saturday, October 28
East Passyunk is transforming into a spooktacular wonderland this weekend with free activities for adults, kids and even dogs! The event kicks off with free pumpkin decorating at 11 AM with BenFM supplying the tunes and trick-or-treating for the kiddos. Adults can enjoy outdoor fare and craft beer from local restaurants Stogie Joe’s and Mamma Maria Ristorante. Bring your pup to Amelie’s Bark Shop, where they can enjoy a free treat and rehydrate. (1904 E Passyunk Ave.)
 
Saturday, October 28
Head to No Lib’s Standard Tap for a night filled with costume contests, music, dancing and drink specials. If you don a costume, all Yards brews are $3. Even starts at 9 PM and goes until close. (209 N 2nd St.)
 
Saturday, October 28
The evening will begin with a 7 PM screening “King Kong vs. Godzilla”. The night will shift gears at 10 PM when the gogo music begins pumping with plenty of drink specials and a costume contest. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door (cash only). (339 N 11th St.)

Grab your tickets for this masquerade party in Center City. Doors open at 8 PM for a night complete with hors d’oeuvres, champagne, a costume contest, DJ and dancing. Tickets are $45 and even include a mask. (1421 Arch St.)
 
Sunday, October 29
Enjoy a fun-filled day at this East Falls brewery. Activities include a pet and human costume contest, pumpkin decorating, giveaways and the Eagles game on the big screen. Food will be provided by The Spicy Belly and Lazy Mary Gelato. The event kicks off at 1 PM. (3705 W School House Lane)
 
Monday, October 30
The Fillmore is turning its entire floor into a Star Wars themed roller rink! Admission is free for all ages between 4:30–7:30 PM. At 9 PM the event turns into a 21+ dance party with featured DJs. Tickets are $10 and include skating and skate rentals. (29 E Allen St.)
 
Tuesday, October 31
Feel like a kid again at the Franklin Institute this Halloween with their special spirits-themed science event. Dive into the science behind your favorite drinks while also enjoying them! Tickets are $20 for non-members and $15 for members and costumes are encouraged. The event goes from 7–10 PM. (271 N 21st St)
  
 
Tuesday, October 31
This Hallowen party is going to be all that and a bag of chips. Grab a space in the lot for this bring your own chair 90’s TV Halloween specials marathon. Free popcorn will be passed around as well as drink specials. The event starts at 6:30 PM and after 9 PM it’ll be 21 and up only. (909 N 2nd St)
 
Tuesday, October 31
Swing by this German bar for a Halloween party and costume contest. Contest begins at 9 PM and entrants have a chance to win up to a $150 Starr Restaurants gift card. Bitburger will be there as well to provide $5 half liter and 10 liters. (1210 Frankford Ave.)
 
Tuesday, October 31
RSVP for this free party at one of Philly’s newest bars. The evening will include sugar skull face painting, a costume contest with prizes worth $500, and DJs. RSVP here and you’ll get two free Modelo beers upon entry. (211 S 15th St.)
