Jet Wine Bar is Celebrating 7 Years with a Week-Long Wine Event, November 10-16
South Street's Jet Wine Bar is celebrating its 7th anniversary this November, and is marking the occasion with a week-long wine event from Friday, November 10 to Thursday, November 16.
There are several parts to this celebration, starting with a number of 2010 wines (the year Jet opened) that will be available for $9-$16 a glass, including Riesling, Vino Budimir Margus Margi (Serbia), Tempranillo Vino Eguia Reserva (Spain), and Montepulciano Valle Reale (Italy). Guests will also be able to order two specialty cocktails at $9 each - the Flux Capacitor (vodka, lime, creme de violette, mint) and the Great Scott! (scotch, vermouth, bitters, orange peel). Jet's chef, Yasi Sapp, will also serve up time-travel themed dishes like The Delorean Pizza served with green peppers, capicola, fresh mozaarella and garlic-tomato sauce on house-made dough, the Nobody-Calls-Me-Chicken Wings with brined chicken wings, slow roasted and tossed in orange chipotle sauce; and Outathyme Hummus Plate lemon-thyme hummus with fresh veggies and toasted pita. They'll even play time-travel movies and TV shows on a loop all week, including Back to the Future, Quantum Leap, Doctor Who, and more!
There will be special events during the week as well — on Tuesday, November 14, join Jet for Wine Tasting for Thanksgiving: Return to the Roost, which will feature old wines that pair perfectly with Thanksgiving food. This event is $35 a person, and tickets can be purchased here. Also, throughout the week, Jet is collaborating with Workshop Underground for UNFILTERED, an exhibition of vintage SX70 Polaroid photography art created by Jenny Lynn in the 1970s and 1980s.
Don't miss these specials while they last — head down to South Street and stop in at Jet Wine Bar to celebrate 7 years of great wine, cocktails, and food all week.
