Where to Watch the 90th Academy Awards in Philadelphia
The 90th Academy Awards take place this Sunday, March 4 at 8 PM. Wether you’re a Lady Bird or more of a Phantom Thread you wont want to miss all the glitz and glamour at this year’s Oscars. Philadelphia bars are rolling out the read carpet and throwing some Hollywood-style parties to celebrate the award show of the year. Here are our picks.

City Tap House (3925 Walnut St.)
The University City outpost of this gastropub is hosting a watch party with a very fitting brewery, Oskar Blues. Starting at 7 PM, guests can expect Oscars-themed bingo, prizes like a Oskar Blues branded YETI cooler, and lots of swag. There will also be a selection of Oskar Blues and Cigar City brews offered for $5.

Jet Wine Bar (1525 South St.)
Enjoy Oscar-themed bingo and prizes at this elegant watch party that begins at 8 PM. Guests can also enjoy special menu additons like three $10 glasses of sparkling wine and three small plates like deviled eggs and prosciutto burrata toast all featuring the most lavish ingredient there is, caviar. Grab a tasting of all three plates and wines for $50.

Interstate Drafthouse (1235 E Palmer St.)
Bring all your famous friends to Fishtown to watch the Academy Awards starting at 8 PM at this tavern. Oh, and they’re offering $1 off draft beers during the duration of the show for all you starlets.
Ocean Prime (124 S 15th St.)
Visit this luxurious Center City steakhouse for food and drink specials in honor of Hollywood’s biggest night. From 4 PM-9 PM specials include free truffle popcorn; $10 signature cocktails including their cucumber gimlet and OP Manahttan; and $10 small plates like crab cake sliders, lamb lollipops, shellfish towner and assorted sushi rolls.

Square 1682 (121 S 17th St.)
Film-themed cocktails and a red carpet await at this Rittenhouse bar’s viewing party. Starting at 8 PM, guests can watch the award show in the bar’s lounge with complimentary truffle popcorn and Academy Awards themed trivia with a chance to win a giftcard to the restaurant. There will also be $7 movie-themed cocktail specials like the “Lady Bird” (gin, lemon, bubbles); “Darkest Hour” (bourbon, lime, ginger beer); and “Phantom Thread” (vodka, lime, rosemary).
