Old City is Getting a New French Bistro & a Bar Dedicated to Aged Spirits
Old City is getting two new dining & drinking destinations — Chez Ben and M. Brown's, which will both be located at 401 Chestnut Street in the Franklin Hotel.
Chef Paras Shah will head up the kitchen at Chez Ben, which will be an all-day French bistro concept and coffee bar with a menu featuring classic French dishes like roasted blood orange duck breast with sunchokes, and classic moules frites with white wine and garlic. They'll also offer a full raw bar, La Colombe coffee, pastries and sandwiches to go, fresh juices and smoothies, and more. They'll also offer a wine-by-the-glass program, cocktails, and plenty of aperitifs.
If you're looking for a stiff cocktail, Chez Ben will share the space with M. Brown's, a cocktail bar dedicated to aged spirits where you'll be able to sample everything from single barrel bourbon to Japanese whiskey alongside inventive cocktails and small plates.
Both spots will officially open on March 16, so stop by the Franklin to check out both concepts and explore Old City's evolving restaurant landscape.
