Kick Off Summer at the BBQ for Independence, May 31
On Thursday, May 31 from 6 PM to 9 PM, join the Young Friends of Independence National Historic Park to raise funds and celebrate the beginning of summer at the BBQ for Independence, which will take place in the Rose Garden of Independence in the National Historical Park.
The organization wants to raise money to acquire a new puppy as part of the Law Enforcement Working Dog program, and this dog will join current "bark ranger" Ken Franklin in patrolling the park. In addition to helping a great cause, guests will be able to enjoy beverages from Yards Brewing Co. and Cupcake Wines, among others; food from Mission BBQ (with vegetarian options available); music from EBE Entertainment and DJ Brickhouse; and lawn games, meet & greets with Ken Franklin, and more.
Tickets for the evening are just $35, so get them here and get ready to kick off summer while raising money for a new park pup.
