Beer Under the Big Top, a circus-themed beer festival, is returning to the City of Brotherly Love this summer on Saturday, June 2 from 12:30 PM - 5 PM at the Parade Grounds at the Navy Yard.

This unique event, which will raise money for the Committee to Benefit the Children, will feature over 150 different beers but this is sure to be unlike any beer festival you’ve been to yet. Throughout the event, circus performers like stilt walkers, jugglers and sword swallowers, will wander throughout the tent entertaining beer lovers, and carnival-style food will be available at several of the food trucks on the premises. Be sure to bring non-perishable food to donate as well — the Committee to Benefit the Children will be holding a food drive, so you can do some good while enjoying a wide variety of craft beers.

Though the event begins at 12:30, only VIP ticket holders will have access to the first hour, while general admission patrons will be able to join in the festivities at 1:30 PM. Both types of tickets include unlimited tastings, a souvenir glass, and admission, but VIP tickets include that extra hour and extra, VIP-session only beers. VIP tickets are $75, general admission $50, and designated driver tickets will cost you $12 if you’re just going to see the sights.
