Where to Drink Near Philadelphia's New Rail Park
On Thursday, June 14, the former Reading Railroad Viaduct space at 13th and Noble will become Philadelphia's Rail Park, the city's answer to New York's High Line Park. With 360 panoramic views, this project, which has been in the works since 2010, is sure to revitalize its surrounding neighborhood and become one of Philly's favorite new outdoor spots — so if you're heading to check out the new park, stop at one of these nearby bars for a drink.
Boxcar Beer Garden
This new beer garden from FCM Hospitality is right underneath the Rail Park, making it the easiest and closest option available. Stop in and sit under the shade of the park itself while you snack on BBQ sandwiches and sip a cold beer. (1129 Callowhill St.)
