Delaware Avenue has a new brewery — Mainstay Independent, which has taken over the original Yards brewery at 901 N Delaware Ave and is celebrating the recent open with a New Year's Eve Party. 

Open since November, Philadelphia's newest local brewery is headed up by renowned brewer Brian O'Reilly (formerly of Sly Fox), and currently offers 10 original Mainstay Independent beers alongside a BBQ-inspired food menu. Eventually, the project will expand to include Craft Hall, a new concept expected in 2019.

And speaking of 2019, what better place is there to ring in the new year than a brand new brewery? Mainstay Independent is hosting a New Year's Eve party on Monday, December 31 from 9 PM to 1 AM. Tickets are just $45 and include an open bar, light bites, and a midnight toast with an exclusive debut of one of Mainstay's new brews. Guests can enjoy live music from the Tom Curtis Band and a perfect view of the fireworks over the Delaware River. 

You can check Mainstay Independent out on Facebook and Instagram and visit any time during its normal hours, which are Wednesday through Friday from 4 PM - 12 AM, Saturdays from 12 PM - 12 AM, and Sundays from 12 PM - 8 PM.
