Bars Open on Christmas 2018 in Philadelphia

While a lot of people may celebrate Christmas Day at home with family, that doesn’t work for all of us! Here’s a list of bars and restaurants open on Christmas, so you can get out for a bit if the eggnog runs dry or the ham comes out burnt.
 
12 Steps Down (831 Christian St.)
Open from 7 PM–2 AM.
 
American Sardine Bar (1800 Federal St.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM, no kitchen.
 
Bottle Bar (1308 Frankford Ave.)
Bottle shop open at 11:30 AM. Bar and kitchen open 4 PM–2 AM.
 
Cavanaugh’s Headhouse (421 S 2nd St.)
Open from 7 PM–2 AM.
 
Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse (1823 Sansom St.)
Open from 7 PM–2 AM.
 
CO-OP  20 S 33rd St.)
Open from 3 PM-9 PM with burgers, salads, snacks and upscale dishes like steak frites and seared scallops. 
 
Dim Sum House (3939 Chestnut St.)
Open from 11:30 AM-10 PM with a full menu and specials like ginger scallion lobster, whole fish and many varieties of Norwegian king crab legs. Reservations are suggested if you’re interested in the crab.  
 
Green Room (1940 Green St.)
Open from 3 PM-2 AM. 
 
Grey Lodge Pub (6235 Frankford Ave.)
Opens at 6 PM with Pho Saigon running the kitchen for the night with pho, spring rolls, and banh mi specials and Christmas beers on tap.
 
Hop Angel Brauhaus (7980 Oxford Ave.)
Open from 7:30 PM-2 AM. Kitchen closed.
 
Jane G's (1930 Chestnut St.)
Open from 11:30 AM-10 PM with a full menu and specials like Peking Duck, cinnamon corn huskers, and dumpling sampler platters.
 
National Mechanics (22 S 3rd St.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM.
 
O'Neals Pub (611 S 3rd St.)
Open from 11 AM–2 AM, kitchen open until 1 AM. Happy hour from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM.
 
South Philly Tap Room (1509 Mifflin St.)
Open from 5 PM-2 AM with kitchen open as well. 
 
Square 1682 (121 S 17th St.)
Serving a $60 three course prix-fixe dinner from 2:30 PM-7:45 PM. Courses include options like gnocchi, roasted duck breast and salmon with desserts like blood orange cheesecake and dutch apple pie. 
 
Taproom on 19th (2400 S 19th St.)
Open from 4 PM–2 AM.
 
Tinsel (116 S 12th St.)
Open from 6 PM-12 AM.
 
Red Owl Tavern (433 Chestnut St.)
Open from 5 PM-8 PM with a special Chinatown pop-up feast including shrimp dumplings, duck confit steamed buns, General Tso’s chicken and whole Peking duck. Menu served a la carte, reservations suggested. 
 
Urban Farmer (1850 Benjamin Franklin Pkwy.)
Enjoy a Christmas brunch from 6:30 AM-3 PM and dinner featuring king crab legs and prime rib from 4 PM-9 PM.
