Old City's upscale food hall, The Bourse, will be celebrating Mardi Gras all day on Tuesday, March 5, with drink specials, New Orleans inspired fare, live jazz, and more.

The day starts bright and early at 7 AM, with select food vendors serving Cajun specials — for example, Barry's Buns will be offering mini king cakes (a Louisiana staple), Ka'Moon Egyptian Cuisine will be serving up spicy fried shrimp, and Bluebird Distilling, which is located directly in the center of The Bourse's seating area, will be slinging Sazeracs all day.

Additionally, TAPS Fill Station will be serving beers from NOLA Brewing and Abita Brewing (in both 12 ounce pours for $4 and "big ass" 33 ounce pours for $9), Bronze Table will whip up a special Andouille Creole pasta, Grubhouse will be serving gumbo omelettes, and if you need a caffeine boost, Menagerie Coffee will be making a New Orleans inspired cold brew to perk you right up. 

At 7 PM, the party will really heat up with jazz performances and parades from Drew Nugent and the Midnight Society, who will be accompanied by burlesque dancers from Envoute that will perform cabaret acts in between sets. Make sure you don your best Mardi Gras regalia — there's a costume contest running throughout the celebration, and the winner, who will be chosen at 9:30 PM, will receive a $100 gift card to Taps Fill Station.
