Philly Beer Week's Opening Tap Party Returns on Friday, May 31
Philly Beer Week's signature opening party, Opening Tap, will return to kick off the 12th Annual Philly Beer Week on Friday, May 31 from 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM at South Philly's 2300 Arena. Philly Beer Week runs from May 31 - June 9.
After the traditional full-day relay of the Hammer of Glory, Opening Tap will get the week off on the right foot in its new, larger space at the 2300 Arena and feature beers from over 65 breweries and cideries, as well as launching two new, exclusive beers. The 9th annual European Collaboration Beer, Duveldelphia (brewed in Belgium with 2018's winning brewery, La Cabra) will finally be released alongside Brotherly Suds X, a collaborative beer made by Tröegs, Victory, Yards, Sly Fox, Stoudt's, Iron Hill, and Flying Fish.
While you enjoy your exclusive beers, listen to live music from VJ Fava le Chic, and if you're feeling brave, you can follow him and give a performance of your own during live band karaoke, which you'll perform with Pat Finnerty & The Full Band.
Tickets are just $46 per person and include all beer and entertainment for the evening, but if you'd like an extra hour of tasting as well as a special souvenir glass, spring for the $66 VIP ticket. Either way, you won't want to miss one of Philly's best beer events as well as the chance to kick off one of the best weeks of the year.
