Di Bruno Bros. Rittenhouse is Opening a Wine & Pizza Bar
Di Bruno Bros. Rittenhouse, Center City's best spot for cheeses and gourmet foods, is opening Alimentari, a pizza and wine bar on the second floor of their space at 1730 Chesntut St.
The second floor space has served as a cafeteria and sit-down lunch area – kind of an extension of the grab-and-go setup in their massive downstairs grocery – but it will soon feature two bars, one for snacks like cheese, charcuterie, pizza, and salads and one for wine, beer, and cocktails. The menu, created by the store's executive chef Caitlin Mateo, will highlight Italian cheeses and olive oils you'll be able to find downstairs, and the pizza oven will be imported to serve up square, Roman-style pizza.
"We are ecstatic to bring our amazing products featured in our store to life upstairs at Alimentari through a 'celebration of ingredients.' We consider this as our entry into the dining experience – combining our Di Bruno Bros. discoveries with our incredible culinary talent," said representatives from Di Bruno Bros. "The definition of the Italian word ‘Alimentari’ means 'good food and camaraderie,' which is exactly what we at Di Bruno Bros. plan to create for our loyal customers."
Expect Alimentari to open in July, and plan on heading there for carefully curated wine and cheese alongside Philadelphia's newest pizza place.
